Key Recommendation 7

We are already preparing guidelines for researching new programs to meet KR7. This includes Maltese ministers, students, and alumni in conjunction with GU. GU is willing to change specific history courses in the Ministerial Studies Program so that the student will study Maltese Evangelical and Pentecostal church history instead of US church history. http://iqa.git.edu.mt/reaserch-education.htm. Other Research fields that will be discussed by GU and GIT are the following: Resilience of the Pastoral Office The Person of the Minister Member of The Evangelical Alliance of Malta. Standards of the Evangelical and Pentecostal Churches in Malta. Exegesis of Chosen Scriptural Passages Global University curriculum have several courses in church history in all academic levels. For example, in the Berean School of the Bible’s Ministerial Studies (BSB), the university has courses in church history that mostly is dedicated to the Assemblies of God in the United States. However, several countries that use this program, has written the church history of their country to replace the American history course. This is important because the students are ministering in that national setting. Maltese Evangelicalism is quite new. It started in the early seventeens. Consequently, GIT will be doing the research for the Maltese history, which we plan that in the next five years (2023), at least one BSB course will be completed and available for the Maltese Church. The person leading the project has been identified and informal discussions already took place between the Dean of the BSB and the director of GIT. The person writing the course has been identified. Literature such as newsletters and correspondences are being collected. Reference books are limited since there is not yet available academic historical writing on the Maltese Evangelical. Pilot interviews already took place.

Key Recommendation 8

In regards KR8 we are not sure what the panel meant regarding the use of “placement” both in the report body and the KR. Our courses do not require placements. The closest we can think of is the reference was the practical requirement in the course. We call it “student learning requirements,” or Pass it on” activity. It requires the students to apply something they learned during the study. Usually, this is a ministry activity. Usually this takes place in the students’ local church and is assessed by a qualified person. However, we are now concerned about this requirement. and took the following measures: 1. Therefore, we began this activity as a trial with one BA student. We sent the student to a church in Gozo to help and work with our pastor there while doing his studies. The following link is the policy and procedure. http://iqa.git.edu.mt/STUDENT-PLACEMENTS- INTERNSHIPS.htm. 2. GIT is proposing to pastors that have GIT students allow them to present their presentation to other churches, as long as there is a qualified person to assess the SLR or PIO assignments. GIT’s qualified personnel is found here: http://iqa.git.edu.mt/exam- procedures.htm Recommendation 9 Global University is responsible for course design, content development, and technical and media support. The policies and procedures for curriculum development are to the standard GU’s accreditation process. Each course is published with a full CV of the faculty author, a description of the course contents and outcomes, and instructions to the student regarding how to successfully complete the course requirements and where to direct any questions or concerns.
